SAT-7 PARS broadcasts 24 hours a day to the Farsi-speaking audience in Iran. The principal component of the channel is “Seminary of the Air” (SOTA), a comprehensive resource of biblical training that falls into three main categories: programs for seekers, programs for discipleship of new Christians, and programs that provide leadership training. Despite a lack of biblical teaching materials, churches (in the thousands by some estimates) are spontaneously appearing in Iran as people give their lives to Christ. Many of these new believers watch SAT-7 PARS’ Christian satellite television and depend on the channel for encouragement and Biblical education.
