Conference to Help Women
Many women in the Middle East struggle to raise families on their own because their husbands have died, deserted them, or have left the country for years on end to seek employment elsewhere, or have effectively abandoned their families through an addiction to drugs or alcohol. Jesus loves these women and SAT-7 also cares about them. Over the past year, SAT-7 ARABIC has broadcast a series of documentaries that show the severe plight of such women. The objective of these broadcasts is to help transform society's negative view to one of sympathy and support.
Voice Actors Begin Dubbing “The Way” into Turkish
Turkey is famous for its soap operas. They are dubbed into Arabic and viewed across the Middle East and North Africa. And now SAT-7 TÜRK is in the process of dubbing one of SAT-7’s Arabic dramas into Turkish. The drama is called “The Way” or “As Sabil” in Arabic and will be called “The Road” or “Yol” in Turkish. This lengthy series (more than 60 episodes, 40 minutes each) is about a family that has many problems (drug use, infidelity, abuse, etc.) and their gardener/driver who is a Christian believer. He helps the family learn about Christ and His love for them.

Essam, also known as “Mr. Know,” is one of the most popular characters on the SAT-7 KIDS channel. Every day, countless thousands of young viewers tune in to hear him answer their questions on the show “Why is That?”
First-Ever Daily "Live” Show Being Planned
In 2009 SAT-7 ARABIC created and broadcast more live programs than ever before—and by the end of the year the channel aired two live shows every Thursday, one on Saturday, and one on Sunday. These shows proved to be very popular with viewers, enabling them to ask questions and receive answers directly and immediately from their favorite hosts.
SAT-7 TÜRK Launches
The broadcasts mark a major step for the indigenous Turkish Christian channel. On January 1, 2010, SAT-7 TÜRK begins its first broadcasts as a full member of the SAT-7 network of channels. For the last six years the channel has operated as an independent ministry under the name “TURK-7.” In early 2009, TURK-7’s leadership sought to become part of the SAT-7 family to expand its operations. The January 2010 broadcast launch marks the end of a six month merger process and the beginning of a significant expansion for the Turkish Christian broadcaster.
SAT-7 PARS' Air First Live Programs
The SAT-7 PARS team is very excited because this month they have three live programs scheduled for December 17th, 24th and 31st. The shows will be in a teaching format that allow viewers to call in with questions.
SAT-7 KIDS Second Anniversary & Special Live Christmas Show
SAT-7 KIDS celebrates its second anniversary this December. SAT-7 KIDS seeks to educate and inform children living in a region stretching from Morocco to Iraq the basics of the Christian faith, including the true meaning of Christmas. The channel originally launched as a Christmas gift to the millions of children living in the Arab world during the 2007 holiday season.
SAT-7's "An Hour is not Enough" Fights for the Rights of Women Struggling to Lead their Families.
SAT-7 Christian Television is pleased to announce the second series of "An Hour is not Enough," starting Monday, November 9, 2009. This series spotlights the vulnerability of women in the modern Middle East. Program producer Julianna Sfeir says the show is very needed, “We hope to educate women in the Middle East and North Africa as to what their basic rights are when they are the heads of a household. There is a lot of work that needs to be done to educate these women.”
SAT-7 Deploys Two Additional Satellite Channels
The additional satellites channels will dramatically increase potential viewership. Up to 80 million more people in the Middle East could hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. As of October 1st, 2009, SAT-7 KIDS and SAT-7 ARABIC began broadcasting on the Atlantic Bird 4 (AB4) satellite, making these two channels available to millions of new viewers in the Arab world.

TURK-7 to Merge with SAT-7
During its tri-annual meeting in Beirut, Lebanon, the SAT-7 International Board took a major step forward by voting to fully integrate TURK-7 into the ministry’s network of TV channels by January 2010.

A recent professionally conducted survey by InterMedia found that SAT-7 ARABIC has a total audience estimated at 8 million adults. This does not count children who watch the SAT-7 ARABIC channel, or the children who watch the SAT-7 KIDS channel.
SAT-7 Adds Channels
SAT-7, which began broadcasting in 1996 for two hours a week, has recently added two new full time (24/7) channels, making a total of three, and an impressive 504 hours of broadcast time per week. These channels can be seen throughout the Middle East and North Africa on satellite television, where there is a population of about 350 million people.
