God’s timing is always perfect. Even when things seem like there is no hope, He always finds a way. Farshid, an Iranian man, shared how he nearly lost his life on a cold, wintry night. If he had been found just one hour later, he would not have survived. He was saved by grace.

Farshid shared, “As far as I remember, I was walking along a main road and planned to get a taxi, but being under the influence of alcohol, I cannot recall what happened. I must have passed out. Later, I discovered that I had been found by a police patrol unit. I was admitted to a hospital near Tehran, where I remained in a coma for over two weeks.”

Farshid did not have any identification on him, so he remained an anonymous patient while his family searched for him. He said, “My family had been searching for me, but as I was unidentified, they did not manage to find me. Eventually, I recovered consciousness, and because I was unable to speak, I wrote my name down for the medical staff. A friend of my uncle who worked at the hospital contacted my uncle, and then my family came to the hospital.”

Farshid was reunited with his family after such a traumatic event. Because he was under the influence of alcohol and it was a cold night, his chances of surviving outdoors where he was found were highly unlikely. He said, “The doctors told my family that if the police patrol had found me an hour later, I would not have survived.”

His near-death experience woke something in him. “I was thinking about that night, and it occurred to me that it was God’s grace that I should live and come to know the Lord Jesus Christ and live the rest of my life loving the Lord. I am determined to respond to the Lord’s kindness by being obedient and in genuine faith,” Farshid shared.

Since that night, Farshid has turned his life around and has given himself to Jesus. He recognized that he was saved by grace and desires to be close to Jesus. “I have committed my thoughts and my heart to God – thank you, SAT-7, for letting me into your spiritual family and for helping me learn from God’s word to live with Him.”
