Many believers are faced with difficult life challenges that can shake their faith. Nisrine from Lebanon shares how a diagnosis changed her life and tried her faith. While this was a difficult and trying season for Nisrine, she recognized that she could not get through it without God.

Nisrine shared her diagnosis: “A breast examination revealed that I have fibroadenoma. The doctor informed me that there are several women who have it. Since the diagnosis, I felt a lot of worry and wasn’t been able to move on.” She described feelings of anxiety and fear. “I was in shock since I found out and had fears that I’d die. I grew quite anxious. I had a good life, but I couldn’t get over the idea that my body wasn’t functioning right.”

As the days passed since receiving the diagnosis, Nisrine found herself questioning her faith. She said, “My faith was dwindling. I felt far away from myself. I’d forgotten everything I had learned. I was unable to overcome it and I was dissatisfied with talking to the Lord.”

As humans, it is easy to become emotional over life-changing events and lose focus on what God is trying to teach us. Nisrine shared, “I have become better. I was convinced that it was not scary and began to focus on other things, such as singing in church and playing the piano. I’ve realized that the Lord’s will is best for me. I made a mistake by being away from Him. What happened was that I was in pain and realized that we had to be under His care because, in the end, He would always be with us.”

As difficult as this season was for Nisrine, she trusted that God knew what was best for her, and therefore, she focused her time and energy on Him. Spending time in the Word, praying, and praising God has brought Nisrine closer to Him, and she has found acceptance in her life.

Please pray for viewers like Nisrine to continue to focus on God even during the challenging seasons of life.
