A Modern-Day Barnabas; Your Role in SAT-7

24th February 2025

Throughout the Bible, we see how God uses ordinary people to bring extraordinary encouragement, and one of the greatest examples is Barnabas. His very name means “Son of Encouragement” (Acts 4:36), and he lived up to it in every way.

When the early Church was filled with doubt about Saul’s transformation, it was Barnabas who stepped forward, choosing to believe in him when others hesitated (Acts 9:26-27). He also saw potential in John Mark, standing by him and investing in his future, even after failure (Acts 15:36-39). Barnabas was a man who lifted others, gave generously, and brought courage to those who needed it most.

In many ways, you are a Barnabas to countless people across the Middle East and North Africa. Through your faithful support and prayers, your partnership in ministry with SAT-7 is helping bring encouragement and hope to those who feel forgotten, isolated, or weary. You may not always see the faces of those you impact, but God sees, and He is working through you to shine His light into lives in desperate need of truth and love.

Every day, we hear from people touched by SAT-7’s programs. Like Amin* from Iran, who felt lost in despair until he discovered SAT-7’s broadcasts and wrote, “Your programs have given me hope again. I now know that God loves me.” Or Salma* from Egypt, a young girl who sent us a message saying, “I love learning about Jesus! He makes my heart happy.”

These are not just stories; they are real lives being changed, and you are part of this transformation. Just as Barnabas built up the early believers, your support helps strengthen today’s persecuted and struggling Christians, reminding them they are never alone.

In a time when wars, economic hardship, and uncertainty weigh heavily on many, your encouragement is more powerful than you know. Every prayer you pray and every gift you give makes an eternal difference.

So today, I simply want to say: Thank you. Thank you for your generosity, thank you for your heart for God’s people, and thank you for being a modern-day Barnabas in a world that so desperately needs encouragement.

May the Lord bless and refresh you as you continue to share His love with others.

Blessings,
