Peace in the Operating Room

12th March 2025

Challenges with health are part of being a human. When it is time to face an intervention, such as an operation, it is normal to be filled with anxiety and worry. However, God never leaves you to face this alone. Shaida, a viewer from Iran, contacted SAT-7 to share her story about a time when she felt complete peace in the operating room.

Shaida shared, “I want to testify that when I was in the operating room, there was a moment of anxiety and fear that came over me.” The unknowns and risks that come with any operation can be debilitating. However, Shaida did not let her anxiety and fear control her. She said, “Just as they were about to anesthetize me, I prayed to God. Suddenly, a voice inside me said, ‘Don’t be afraid, I am with you.’ From that moment, a sense of peace settled within me.”

One moment, Shaida was full of fear. The next moment, she was smiling. She said, “When my doctor saw how calm I was with a smile on my face, he decided to administer the anesthesia only from the neck down, so I understood everything they were doing the entire time in the operating room. I had no fear or anxiety because I had complete trust in God.”

Following her procedure, Shaida felt called to share her testimony to help others trust in the Lord. When fear and anxiety take over in life, Shaida’s example of turning to God is the best course of action.

Please pray for viewers like Shaida that they may come to know God and trust in Him.
