Persecution is known as hostility or ill-treatment towards others. As a Christian in Iran, Armita faces consistent persecution because of her faith in Christ. During a time when it would be easiest to conform and disavow Jesus to save herself from further persecution, Armita finds a way to continue to trust in Him.

Armita shares, “We are in persecution, but the grace of Jesus is with us.” The darkness that befalls anyone facing persecution can be enough to submit to the wants of those who are the persecutors. However, Armita looks to the light instead of focusing on the darkness of her experience. She said, “Wherever there is darkness, Jesus shines His light.”

Countries like Iran do not provide the support and encouragement Christians need to continue their journey in faith. Thankfully, SAT-7 is available to offer exactly what these believers need. “We are grateful to have you because you connect us to the Church of Christ,” Armita stated.

The Bible tells us that as Christians, we will face trials and tribulations. As believers, we are to trust in God in those difficult times, even if we are uncomfortable in our circumstances. Prayer is the ultimate response. Armita said, “We are living in the heart of darkness and our hope is Jesus Christ. Iran is in the hand of Christ.”
